Psychological Testing Harrisonburg
In the past few months we’ve helped a handful of kids battle the worry bug, we’ve walked alongside high schoolers who—for the first time ever—wondered whether or not they have ADHD, and we’ve completed a second opinion evaluation for a college student with a learning disability. Contrary to her initial belief that she was “just dumb,” her poor spelling skills were in fact due to dysgraphia.
Individuals and families come to us with stories. Stories of hardship and endurance. But, when we look close enough and listen long enough—they are also stories of hope.
So, what’s your story? We’d be happy to come alongside you.

Evaluation Goals
People come to us for different reasons. For some, it’s simply understanding. Maybe why reading takes so long, why writing is so stressful, or why relationships don’t click. For others, it’s not just understanding but also help. To make friends, to keep a scholarship that’s on the rocks, or to simply not cry during math homework every single night. For others, it might be to renew accommodations that they’ve received for years. Or maybe to obtain accommodations as an adult in a full-time job. Whatever your reason, we’re here to listen. And help.
Psychological Testing Harrisonburg
We provide a range of psychological evaluations in Harrisonburg–for children, teens, and adults. What kinds of evaluations? Assessments for dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia (learning disabilities in reading, writing, and math). We also provide evaluations for ADD, ADHD, and autism. And, because many of our clients also struggle with anxiety, depression, or similar, we can help sort out how these impact day-to-day functioning.
Why choose us?
We’ve completed enough second and third opinion evaluations to know this: not all evaluations are created equal. Our goal: to provide a comprehensive evaluation that doesn’t miss anything, to communicate results in a clear way, to offer a clear vision for progress, and–perhaps most importantly–to make the process personal for you. As a small business, we’ve grown by doing this, and our mission is to keep our standards super-high. That’s why a good portion of our clients are direct referrals from previous clients. Costs and insurance
Evaluations are investments. Some are literally eight or more hours of face-to-face time. Add talking to parents and teachers, organizing and writing the report, and sitting down to talk about results together–it’s a lot. Now, might you be able to find someone offering an evaluation for less money? Probably. Are there other professionals charging a lot more? Yes. In the end, we strive to provide excellent service while keeping our fees reasonable–like you, we have bills to pay and a family to support.
Since we are an out-of-network provider, we do not accept insurance. So, our services are considered self-pay. We can, however, arrange a payment plan and try to be flexible to meet the needs of our clients. And, we accept HSA and FSA cards. For more specific details, check out our fees page.
